A Finance Partner Built for High-Consequence Decisions
Who We Are
Jackson CFO is a small team of experienced finance professionals who work as long-term partners to business owners and investors.
We operate at the intersection of accounting, finance, and real-world decision-making. Our work is focused on helping clients understand the financial reality of their businesses and investments, especially when situations are complex, evolving, or time-sensitive.
We are not a traditional accounting firm and we are not a transactional service provider. We work closely with a limited number of clients, bringing judgment, clarity, and independent thinking to decisions that carry lasting consequences.
Experience Shaped by Real Operating Environments
Our team has held roles in both large corporate finance functions and small business operations. We have built finance systems from the ground up, managed through growth and transition, and run businesses where financial decisions carried real consequences.
This experience gives us a practical understanding of how finance and operations connect. We know what works in theory and what holds up under pressure. We understand the tradeoffs business owners face when balancing growth, cash flow, and operational complexity.
Our specialties include:
Building scalable finance functions that connect to daily operations and strategic priorities
Financial due diligence and acquisition support for buyers evaluating small and mid-market businesses
Post-acquisition integration and finance function setup for newly acquired businesses
Implementing practical technology and systems that improve reporting without adding unnecessary complexity
Strategic financial planning and cash flow management for businesses navigating growth or operational change
We are tech-savvy, strategic, and grounded in the realities of running a business. Our approach is informed by having been in both the finance chair and the operator's seat, which shapes how we think about risk, systems, and the tradeoffs that come with growth.

Our Operating Principles
At Jackson CFO, our work is guided by a set of practical principles shaped by real ownership decisions, operating experience, and long-term client relationships.
Independent Thinking
Our role is to provide clear, unbiased financial insight. We do not optimize for closing deals, selling services, or confirming assumptions. We focus on understanding reality, even when that perspective is uncomfortable or inconvenient.
Built for Ownership
We approach every engagement with the mindset of someone who will have to live with the business after the decision is made. Whether evaluating an acquisition or supporting ongoing operations, we focus on what will matter once responsibility shifts to the owner.
Clarity Over Complexity
Good financial support should reduce confusion, not add to it. We prioritize plain language, consistent reporting, and insight that directly supports decision-making without unnecessary complexity or noise.
Consistency Matters
Reliable decisions require reliable systems. We help clients build finance functions that work month after month, not just during a transaction, a crisis, or a reporting deadline.
Long-Term Perspective
Many of our client relationships extend across multiple stages: diligence, transition, and growth. We value continuity, trust, and thoughtful progress over short-term wins or one-off engagements.
Servant Leadership
We serve our clients' best interests above all else. Our success is measured by their clarity, confidence, and ability to make sound financial decisions, not by the scale of our engagement or complexity of our recommendations.
