Financial Confidence to Run and Scale the Business

We work with owners who are running and scaling a business and need a finance function that holds up under that work. That includes owners professionalizing the accounting system, and owners who need GAAP-based EBITDA so they can be in a position to exit.

Built for Owners Who Need Stability and Clear Insight

This work is for owners who want the finance function handled properly. Typical clients include:

New owners post-close who need the finance function standing on its own

Founder-led businesses that have grown past basic bookkeeping

Operators adding locations, people, or complexity

Owners who want the books professionalized so they can run the company on them

Owners preparing GAAP-based EBITDA so the business can be in a position to exit

We often meet owners whose books are technically complete but not reliable enough to run the business on. In other cases there is no clear owner of the finance function, so close, reporting, and follow-through sit with whoever has time.

Finance Support That Adapts as the Business Evolves

Not every client needs every layer. The three sections below are the table of contents: we build a reliable foundation, then add planning and CFO-level support as the business requires it.

Core Financial Operations

Month-end close, reporting you can trust, and a professionalized accounting system.

Financial Planning & Performance Insight

Cash, budget, forecast, and an operating cadence the leadership team can work from.

Strategic & CFO-Level Support

Growth and capital decisions, including GAAP-based EBITDA when an exit is on the horizon.

Core Financial Operations

The core of the work is a month-end close and a set of reports the owner can trust. For many clients that also means professionalizing the accounting system: the chart of accounts, the close calendar, and the daily habits that keep the books current.

We run that work in QuickBooks Online, Digits, Ramp, Gusto, and Reach Reporting, along with the industry systems already in place. We partner with those platforms to run an effective finance function. We do not force a rip-and-replace.

Financial Planning & Performance Insight

Once the close is reliable, we use the books to manage cash, set a budget, and keep a forecast the leadership team can work from. The point is an operating cadence: a regular look at what the business is doing, not a packet that arrives after the decisions have already been made.

Reach Reporting is how many of our clients sit with that information each month. It is useful because the underlying close is sound, not because a dashboard exists.

Strategic & CFO-Level Support

At the CFO level we work with owners on growth and capital: hiring, locations, debt, and how those choices show up in cash and earnings. The questions are practical. Can the company fund the next step, and what does that step do to the statements?

A growing number of clients also need the company in a position to exit. That is GAAP-based EBITDA: earnings that would hold up if a buyer, a lender, or a quality of earnings team sat down with the books. Add-backs have to be supportable. The close has to be timely. Revenue and costs have to sit in the periods they belong in. We do this while the owner is still running the business, so the numbers are ready when the conversation starts rather than assembled under a letter of intent.

How the Process Works

01

Understand the Business

We learn how the business operates today and what you need from finance, then scope the work to that.

02

Stabilize and Organize

We establish a close, a reporting cadence, and enough consistency that you can trust the numbers.

03

Ongoing Support

We stay on as the finance partner and change the mix of work as the business scales.

Clarity That Supports Better Decisions

A dependable finance function gives the owner a clearer view of cash, margins, and whether the business is doing what they think it is doing. The sample report is the kind of monthly package we produce.

Finance Led by People Who Have Run Businesses

Most accounting support is built around compliance and a historical close. Our team has held executive and operating roles, so we know what an owner needs from finance during the month, not only at year-end.

That is how we decide what to report, what to leave out, and how to talk about risk. We care less about a perfect-looking package than about numbers the owner can use.
